Mr. Fradenburgh is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional
(CISSP) with over 25 years of experience in information security,
internetworking, and network architecture and design. His areas
of expertise include cryptography and Public Key Infrastructure
(PKI), identity management, firewall and IDS-based network defense,
security management practices (e.g., as defined by ISO Standard
17799), and Government privacy and security regulations including
FDA 21CFR11, HIPAA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, and Sarbanes-Oxley Section
404.
During his career, Mr. Fradenburgh has assisted a wide variety
of Fortune 500 and Government clients with translating business
and security requirements into supportable solution architectures,
and he has managed the successful implementation of both proof-of-concept
and production systems and networks. His experience includes the
development and delivery of training classes and seminars on security
fundamentals, PKI, and the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). Most
recently, he was a speaker at the 31st annual Computer Security
Institute Conference and Exhibition in Washington, DC in November
2004.
- Mr. Fradenburgh’s previous employers include Greenwich
Technology Partners, General Dynamics C4 Systems, RSA Security,
and Internet pioneer BBN Corporation. His professional accomplishments
include the following:
- Performed a SOX 404 compliance assessment of an advertising
agency’s IT organization and infrastructure.
- Performed a high-level security assessment of the network and
host system infrastructure supporting a suite of high-value transaction
applications for a New York financial services company.
- Assisted a Fortune 500 manufacturer with the development and
implementation of a strategy for protecting high-value information
assets using host-based intrusion prevention.
- Assisted a Boston based financial services company with the
development of a security policy framework and security program
roadmap document based on ISO 17799.
- Contributed to the development of security architectures for
next-generation tactical military networks for the U.S. Army.
- Managed and coauthored a study and white paper on leading practices
and technologies for system backups for a large manufacturing
firm in support of a Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
Planning (BCP/DRP) project.
- Managed and served as lead architect for an enterprise-wide
implementation of a PKI-based security and reduced sign-on solution
for a global technology and manufacturing company.
- BBN’s lead systems engineer for sustaining engineering
contract with Defense Information Systems Agency.
Mr. Fradenburgh received a Bachelor of Science degree from Brown
University.
