Mr. Lauriat has more than 7 years of industry experience designing,
planning and building secure computer networks. During that time,
he assisted large clients in a wide variety of industries.
Mr. Lauriat began his career with GTE Internetworking (BBN). While
at BBN, Mr. Lauriat developed expertise in TCP/IP based networks
and applications as well as security technologies. He is proficient
with a wide variety of network and network security solutions, including
routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, two-factor
authentication systems and access control systems. Major clients
at BBN included a nationwide communications company, a large financial
services institution and several international telephone companies.
Mr. Lauriat traveled extensively domestically and within Latin America
helping clients build dependable and secure networks.
Following his tenure at BBN/GTE, Mr. Lauriat was most recently
a Senior Security Consultant at TruSecure. He led several strategic
consulting programs delivering security expertise in a way that
exceeded customer expectations for quality, schedule and price.
During the last three years, Mr. Lauriat has worked extensively
in the energy industry. He has assisted electrical utilities to
improve the security of large SCADA networks. Mr. Lauriat has lead
efforts to assess the security of control systems, write cyber security
specifications and policy, and redesigning network security measures.
Further, Mr. Lauriat has participated in efforts to ensure compliance
Federal and industry-based security requirements. All of this work
ensures the integrity of critical cyber assets in our national energy
infrastructure.
Mr. Lauriat received a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from
Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. While at Middlebury College,
he majored in Computer Science, and earned a degree with departmental
honors. Mr. Lauriat is a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
and has also held certifications from Cisco and Check Point in network
security.
