Mr. White has worked in the Information Technology industry for the past 31 years, with the latest 20 years focusing on Information Security. Mr. White has an extensive background and hands-on knowledge in the area of data network design and architecture, as well as integration of Windows and Linux based systems.
Since starting to work with Network & Security Technologies in early 2004, Mr. White has assisted electric utilities in increasing their Information Security posture to meet industry best practices, and most recently to meet regulatory requirements such as NERC CIP. Mr. White has also worked in many other industry verticals, assisting such companies as VISA, AT&T Wireless, SIAC (NYSE) and élan Pharmaceuticals in designing secure network and systems infrastructures to mitigate risk to their assets and achieve regulatory compliance.
Mr. White is accomplished at using his years of experience to interface with a diverse array of people, in a wide variety of industries and cultures, to provide a method in which security can be assessed, analyzed, and subsequently accomplished in an enterprise business environment. Mr. White is successful at analyzing and understanding a business manager’s needs and expectations, as well as planning around the social, political and emotional roadblocks to information security that exist in any small to large organization. This is possible by having spent years interfacing with various business sectors including the financial, medical, power and communications industries.
Prior to Network & Security Technologies, Mr. White worked for many companies in the role of Senior Security Architect; Predictive Systems, Emagined Security, StorageTek, NCR, AT&T GIS and Digital Equipment Corporation to name a few.
Mr. White currently holds a CISSP certification with ISC2. |
