We are looking for people with a professional, solutions-based 'team player' attitude and, excellent presentation skills. Candidates should have an understanding of network and security technology principles as well as a background selling network and/or security consulting services.

The successful Account Executive will have the ability to work with clients to identify their mission critical network, security and business issues and articulate how N&ST is uniquely positioned to help them solve their toughest problems.

Sales candidates should have significant selling experience with networking and/or security consulting and should have demonstrated strong sales performance in previous positions.

The N&ST Account Executive will sell consulting services such as Network and Security Assessments, Network Designs, Security Designs, Security Policy Development, Ethical Hacking / Penetration Testing, Network Design and Network/Security Implementations. The successful Account Executive will achieve this goal by leveraging channel relationships, existing contacts, organizational relations as well as direct selling. The successful Account Executive will achieve his/her goal by selling to senior level executives through a combination of relationship selling, solution selling, and knowledge of the client's business.

Consulting services of this type are in high demand by customers seeking to design, build, and/or change their infrastructure, especially those customers who wish to leverage Internet technology and move their business to be "Internet-centric". This position involves selling our expertise and capabilities and articulating the N&ST value proposition and the depth of knowledge we offer to our clients in the areas of network, security and project management.

Account Executives should have a high-level understanding of the following security and networking principles:

  • Network & Security Design
  • LANs/WANs 
  • Protocols (TCP/IP, NetBIOS/Netbeui, OSI, IPX) 
  • Business strategy as related to the technologies
  • OS Hardening
  • Ethical Hacking / Penetration Testing
  • Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Authentication Technologies
  • Network Management
  • Network & Security Policy Development
  • Emerging Technologies 
  • Operating Systems (UNIX and Microsoft Operating Environments)
  • Active Network Components (Hubs, Switches, Routers)
  • PKI
  • Written/verbal communication skills

Account Executives must communicate effectively with senior executives about how N&ST consulting services translate into business solutions for our clients.

Required Experience:

  • Solution selling of network and/or security consulting services
  • Previously held consulting services sales quota
  • Ideal candidates must be resourceful, learn quickly, work independently, be self-motivated and proactive in their approach to problem solving and customer service.

Strong written and verbal communications skills required.

In this position, you will be involved with a variety of Internet and Fortune 1000 clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and close security and network related consulting services contracts in new, prospective accounts as well as existing N&ST accounts
  • Work closely with the consulting delivery organization and Project Managers to propose and close consulting engagements that meet the customers' business requirements, leverage our expertise, and are profitable to the N&ST organization
  • Collect business/technical requirements for various selling initiatives
  • Manage client expectations
  • Work with project managers to ensure that proposed solutions map to client requirements
  • Forecast period sales funnel / pipeline

Bachelor's degree required
